PLEDGE OF RESISTANCE

This Pledge is a tool to create a network of resistance against Federal and local police actions that would deprive patients of their rights to medical marijuana. By signing and pledging our resistance, we can help support patients’ rights and defend our democratic will to legalize medical marijuana. This pledge is sponsored by Canadians for Safe Access. I oppose federal, provincial and local police harassment, closures, and arrests of medical marijuana patients, compassion clubs, and caregivers. I pledge to take part in nonviolent civil disobedience in the event of any action denying patients access to medical marijuana. Nonviolent direct action (NVDA) can include risking arrest & conviction in actions such as sit-ins, blockades, banner hangs etc… that do not harm or dehumanize other people. -------- OR -------- I pledge to support people in my community carrying out nonviolent civil disobedience in the event of any action denying patients access to medical marijuana. Support can mean financial support, court support, prison support. It can mean taking part in vigils and demonstrations, holding public meetings or letter-writing to decision-makers.
